Mrs. Teague's Second Grade Class

Goes to Honey Creek School

On October 9, 2003, our class went to Honey Creek School. The students spent the day learning about how children were taught one hundred years ago.

We did our morning work and got ready to read.

We learned about the history of Honey Creek School.

We read McGuffey Readers.

The boy laughed too loud so he must wear the dunce hat.

The boy scared the teacher with a mouse, so he must put his nose in a circle on the board.

The privy for the boys has a sun on it.

The girls' privy has a moon on it.

We get ready for the Nature Walk.

We cross a bridge in the woods.

We climb over a stile to see a tree with thorns on it.

We wash our hands before lunch.

We eat our lunch.

We play with old toys.

We play Tug-of-War at recess.

We play Fire on the Mountain.

We do penmanship.

We are on our way home. We had a wonderful day!
