Welcome to Arlington Heights Elementary PTO!

       Arlington’s Parent-Teacher Organization offers opportunities for family involvement and participation at the school.  Meetings are held on the first Thurday of each month in the school library at 6:00 pm.  Contact names for school events are posted in the school newsletter and a PTO bulletin board near the Health Office offers information regarding school and district events and special programs.  The following events are scheduled for the 2007-08 school year:

•                Welcome Back Celebration Aug. 17

•               Back-to-School Night  Sept. 5 (6:30)

•               Title 1 Information Night Sept. 18

•               Fall Fun Night  Oct. 12 (5:30)

•               6^th Grade Challenge!  Jan. 25 (6:30)

•               PTO Talent Night  Feb. 22 (6:30)

•               PTO Carnival/Auction May 16 (5:30)

 Mission Statement: The purpose of our organization is to aid the students of Arlington Elementary School by providing:

   Support for their educational programs.

   Encourage parent involvement.

   Promote a sense of community among the families.

   Support faculty and staff.

Volunteer Information:

As we begin planning for the 2007-2008 school year, the PTO is needing dedicated, enthusiastic parents to volunteer for various positions and committees. The PTO is an excellent way to stay active in your child’s education. It’s also a great opportunity to meet other parents. Please make a difference! Research has shown that the more involved you are as a parent in your child’s school education, the higher the student’s academic performance.
